I'm Judi Chamberlin, inviting you into the ups and downs of my life these days.
Here's some names that recur frequently:
Julie--my daughter Jim--my son-in-law Julie and Jim just moved from the upstairs apartment of my two-family house in the Boston area, to an apartment in a nearby town, with their children, Evelyn (14), Kyle (12), and Vivian (7), and dogs Ringo and Trixie
Marty--my "significant other"
Florence--my aunt (and honorary "mother") who lives in New Jersey
Howie--my ex-husband (through whom I get health insurance)
PCAs (personal care attendants)-- Ann B. [Laurel] Judy Diana (DEE-anna) Patti [Susan]
I have been an activist in the psychiatric survivor movement since 1971. I am the author of "On Our Own," the first book about the goals and principles of the movement (available from the National Empowerment Center (http://power2u.org/). I believe that until people labeled as "mentally ill" have the same rights as others, we will continue to be marginalized and discriminated against.
When you try to enlarge it, it still comes out rather blurred. I wasn't able to read it.
